The Making of The Empire Series

Lil Wayne isn’t a fan of his music being stolen. Making that sentiment insanely clear during an interview with Foundation Magazine, a publication catered directly to the mixtape culture, Weezy called out all mixtape DJ's for creating mixtapes that feature his material without his proper consent. In another interview with popular mixtape DJ, DJ Drama, Lil Wanye then retracts his statements and aims them directly at The Empire for unlawfully producing the popular mixtape series, The Drought Is Over. Wayne was looking for someone to do mixtapes with, but he was on tour so he couldn’t do it himself. The kid was searching for people to do it with and basically asked me for money in advance for the cd, so I gave him an undisclosed amount of money and he sent me 12 records.
