This year, Too Hood 4 Hollywood, along with others will be working for those less fortunate by collection donations of new, unwrapped toys and games to Toys for Tots. We are conducting Washington DC’s Largest Toy Drive, by combining forces with a number of promoters and corporate sponsors and we invite you to join us. By making a donation, you will not only be receiving notable recognition from our media coverage but you will also be making a difference in the lives of the children of your community. We are asking for a donation of ten (10) $10 toys or a cash donation of $200. *Please make checks payable to “DC Toys For Tots”.*

Toys for Tots: The mission of the US Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys each year and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children. The Toys for Tots program wishes to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable natural resources - our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.

On Tuesday, December 22nd we will be holding a “Toy Drive” (toys are not the only contributions that can be made) at Lotus Lounge, Policy or Eye Bar! Admission to these event's is 1 brand new unwrapped toy or a minimum of a $10 donation!!

I know I keep saying it but I must repeat it, I have been so impressed with DC metro area hip hop over the last few weeks! I think we got the formula down now!! Anyway the homie's Dre "The Mayor" and Raheem Devaughn have started a label, 368 Music Group, and their breakout talent Phil Ade is the truth!!

Dre blessed me with an advance of the mixtape and man oh man, are they on to something! Not to make comparisons to anyone but when I listen to Phil rap it gives me a Lupe type of feel!! Again I'm not comparing their lyrics but that's the type of feel I get from Phil Ade!! You know, some real hip hop!

With that said, this Friday at the Commonwealth store in DC, the 368 Music Group will have an official release party for Phil Ade's new mixtape, "Starting on JV", so make sure you stop by and check it out!

R&B Live DC ft. Jaguar Wright

 As the summer months start to approach, the lineup for R&B Live DC will continue to heat up. This month will continue to be a jam packed event with an energy and groove that cannot be found anywhere else in Washington, DC every third Tuesday of each month. On Tuesday, May 19^th R&B Live DC is proud to announce that Jaguar Wright will at Posh Restaurant & Supper Lounge. Jaguar is a Philadelphia based singer/songwriter who in 2001 gained much popularity for being a background vocalist on Jay-Z’s MTV’s “Unplugged”. Her most recent album is titled “Divorcing Neo 2 Marry Soul” which was released in 2005. She is now working on some new material. R&B Live DC will be hosted by the wonderful WKYS personality Antonio “The Cuban Cigar Smoker” and DJ Huck Fin will be spinning. Back by popular demand, Kevin will also be celebrating his graduation from Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA) with a showcase for fans and label executives. So far in Kevin’s career he has accomplished a great deal. From being crowned 106 & Park’sMale R&B Artist  W.O.W Champion for 2008 and being named Best New Artist by AOL Music for 2008. Well because I have a thing for beautiful women and Keri Hilson had an event last night in the city at K Street Lounge and I didn't hear about it until last minute. And if you don't know you are about to find out in 5 4 3 2 1 That I love this girl(not on not Stalker type shit though). She's dope!!

T.I.’s Speech at Hip Hop Inaugural Ball

T.I. is a good dude and it shows through every time he talks. I like what slim stands for. This was a serious part in this speech:

MTV Shows DC some well deserved love!!!

Still on a natural high, soaking in the fact that my president is black and he's my neighbor. I mean the dude lives like 10 minutes away from me. But back to the topic because Washington DC is a lot more than politics, I told yall a few weeks ago that MTV was taping Wale, Tabi Bonney, and UCB for what I thought was a My Block: DC and maybe it will be one but as of now we have MTV2 DC Week. Be sure to tune in and check out the website here. After watching clips of the Godfather of Go-Go Chuck Brown, Super Producer Chucky Thompson, Wale, and Tabi Bonney speak make sure you leave comments on all the clips or whatever and lets show MTV that the city needs this attention!!
