Sneaker Pimps DC

Sneaker Pimps, the world's largest sneaker show is making it's way to DC's biggest nightclub venue, DC Star, on Saturday July 18th! There will be performances by some of DC's most talented up and coming artist, including Kingpen Slim as well as Wale with go-go band UCB and headlined by VA's own The Clipse! This is sure to be a dope event, so cop you some fresh kicks and get a $15 ticket to this even here!!

If you missed Wale's coming home show last night at the 9:30 Club, all I can say is you missed a historic day in DC hip hop as you can see from the pic above. Wale killed a sold out club with a diverse crowd singing every word to every  song! It was amazing! UCB of course killed it with him. 

Anyway here are 2 new videos from Wale, the 1st being for his single, Chillin, featuring Lady GaGa off of his upcoming album, Attention: Deficit. The 2nd video is off his mixtape, Back to the Feature, which drops next week.  This track, Family Affair, is a pretty deep song.  The visuals were provided by director Rik Cordero and he did a great job of bringing it to life. Check them both out inside.

Had a chance to go check out a part of Wale's video shoot for his 1st single, Chillin featuring Lady GaGa, yesterday and it is a great look for the city! He shot at the Madness, a staple in DC clothing, and Bens Chili Bowl, which the world knows as a landmark in DC. The homie Anwaa over at Elite DC Magazine got some behind the scenes footage!
