As the summer months start to approach, the lineup for R&B Live DC will continue to heat up. This month will continue to be a jam packed event with an energy and groove that cannot be found anywhere else in Washington, DC every third Tuesday of each month. On Tuesday, May 19th R&B Live DC is proud to announce that Jaguar Wright will at Posh Restaurant & Supper Lounge. Jaguar is a Philadelphia based singer/songwriter who in 2001 gained much popularity for being a background vocalist on Jay-Z’s MTV’s “Unplugged”. Her most recent album is titled “Divorcing Neo 2 Marry Soul” which was released in 2005. She is now working on some new material. R&B Live DC will be hosted by the wonderful WKYS personality Antonio “The Cuban Cigar Smoker” and DJ Huck Fin will be spinning. Back by popular demand, Kevin will also be celebrating his graduation from Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA) with a showcase for fans and label executives. Gucci Mane signs to Warner
Guess what Gucci haters: "If you think you mad now I'm gon make you madder". According to BET.com, Gucci Mane has inked a deal with Warner Bros. and will release his 3rd album later this summer.This ends his relationship with Big Cat records and as for the record that was released yesterday Gucci says:
"I am no longer signed to, booked by, or working with Big Cat Records or any of its employees in any way,” Gucci Mane states. “The CD that Big Cat is putting out consists of records that were never planned to make my album and is a non-official release. My fans will get the official Gucci Mane album in August on Warner Bros. Records."
