Bugatti 16C Galibier

Boasting an 8.0 liter 16-cylinder flex fuel engine with 800-1,000 hp and a maximum speed of 220mph, the Galibier promises not to go unnoticed. Although the 16C Galibier, which is currently a concept, hasn’t been given the official “OK” for production, I doubt Bugatti would put all this time & effort into this car and not deliver. With that being said, the Bugatti 16C Galiber is expected to be priced at $1.44 million and will not be available until production ends in 2012.

2011 Audi A8

For 2011 Audi has made some dope enhancements to the A8 such as, the car comes with full LED headlamps which can adjust direction and throw on the basis of the navigation system, a new MMI including handwriting recognition, an updated 4.2-liter FSI V8 engine with 372 horse power and an eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox. The A8 also have better fuel efficiency, with the company claiming 15 percent better fuel efficiency then the V8. Another dope feature is the 3D Navigation!! The sedan comes with an 8-inch LCD screen that shows you land marks in 3D, thanks to a collaboration with the Google Earth and terrain-mapping functionality. The new system will use a UMTS modem for transferring data to the navigation system for downloading the maps. The data is then used to make an online search through a multimedia interface through which a user can search for "Cabinet maker" which displays the results. The mounted computer then matches the street data with the Google Earth 3D terrain model and provides route guidance through the map. Talk about life-like real-time support!

2010 Mercedes Benz SLS

Designed to evoke memories of the iconic 300SL Gullwing from the fifties, the Mercedes SLS AMG also fills a gap in Merc's range left by the outgoing McLaren SLR. And judging by these detailed photos its styling promises to be every bit as dramatic as its forebearers.


Gullwing-style doors, hinged at the roof, will no doubt be the big talking point, but what's under the skin is just as impressive. Packing a 555bhp AMG 6.3-litre dry-sumped V8 with 650Nm of torque, it's capable of covering the 0-60mph sprint in 3.7 seconds and continuing on to a top speed of 197mph. Fortunately carbon-ceramaic brake discs will be offered as an option to scrub off the speed with ease.

An aluminium space-frame body helps to keep weight down to a manageable 1.620kg. Combine this with the latest seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and a near-perfect 47:53 front-rear weight distribution and the front-engined Merc should be as good to drive as it's on-paper figures suggest.

It's not just the Gullwing doors that link this car to it's predecessor from the Fifties, either. The elongated bonnet, extra-wide grille and oversize three-point star are all reminiscent of the legendary 300SL. But modern touches like the extendable rear spoiler (which deploys above 75mph for added downforce), LED running lights and unique alloys (20-inch at the rear, 19-inch at the front) ensure a classic design is brought bang up to date.

Climb inside the compact passenger compartment and you're greeted by jet-engine inspired air vents. The silver instrument cluster features an F1-style LED shift lights and the speedometer runs all the way to 225mph, while taking pride of place on the centre console is the seven-inch multi-media screen. Finest-quality materials are used throughout the cabin, and nowhere is this more perfectly demonstrated than with the magnesium-backed sports seats - a metal that's particularly strong and light.

The SLS can be yours for around $260,000 - Less than half of the price of the McLaren. More pics inside.

The 20th Anniversary Infiniti Essence

Celebrating their 20th anniversary, Japanese luxury auto makers Infiniti introduced the Infiniti Essence at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. The Essence is a gas/electric hybrid coupe packed with a twin turbo charged 3.6 liter V6 engine and a new electric motor termed the “3d motor” enabling a total output of 440 hp.

Porsche Design Sportster Sled

As you can see I have the slopes on my mind since my bday ski trip is coming up soon. See the flyer to the right for more info on that. But back to hitting the slopes in style.

Porsche Design have created a sled drawing inspiration from Porsche’s 911 sports car. The sled is made entirely of aluminum allowing it to be extremely light yet rigid. The sled is foldable allowing it to be stored in a small space even fitting in the famously small trunk of the Porsche 911. The Porsche Design Sportster sled is available from Porsche Design stores worldwide.

4 door Lamborghini Estoque

Lamborghini has spent the last few weeks tantalizing us with teasers of its front-engine, four-door concept, but that comes to an early end today as a French website has unceremoniously revealed the concept we've been calling the Estoque. Though the images in our gallery are low-res, we can still make everything out. The Estoque features a long hood and short rear deck, with horizontal headlights up front and a pair of big Reventon-style air intakes in the front bumper. The fender vents behind the front wheels are tucked into the car's character line that flows back until it hits those wide rear haunches. Thanks to those teasers we had already figured out what the rear end would look like, and all those guesses were fairly spot on. The rumormills are telling us to expect the 560-hp V10 from the Gallardo LP 560-4 underhood, as well as all-wheel-drive. Though it's showing up as a concept at the Paris Motor Show tomorrow, the Estoque is said to be destined for production as early as 2010 to compete with the new crop of four-door coupes from Porsche (Panamera) and Aston Martin (Rapide).

Ferrarri California

For the first time in a Ferrari, there will be no manual gearbox option and power will be 30bhp down on the entry-level F430. Engine revs are lower and torque is slightly increased, all signs that this car is much more of a luxurious tourer than a hardcore sports car. "It's not a screamer," said a Ferrari spokesman this week. "It's not track-based and it's not about out-and-out power; it's more driveable." The naturally aspirated 4,300cc V8 will be matched to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission for a smoother drive. The 0-62mph sprint will take less than four seconds and carbon dioxide emissions will be about 310g/km. The Ferrari California is set to launch at the Paris Auto Show in October. More pics inside

2010 Audi A7

The new Audi A7 will set new standards for performance, elegance and quality in the fast-emerging luxury four-door coupe market, according to the German manufacturer.

The four-door coupe is due in 2010 as part of Audi’s new-model program, which aims to increase the firm’s sales by an ambitious 50 per cent over seven years by introducing 17 new models.

The A7 is Audi’s rival for the Mercedes-Benz CLS, BMW’s forthcoming 8-series and next year’s Jaguar XJ replacement. It will be armed with a formidable array of technology, heralding what design boss Stefan Sielaff describes as a “new direction” in design and interior quality.

Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG Edition IWC

Luxury German auto-maker, Mercedes-Benz, teamed up with Swiss watchmaker, IWC, to make a very limited and exclusive SL63 AMG. The car has a new white paint finish dubbed designo magno Kashmir, which is a combination of shades of pearl and egg shell color. The car has many special features and additions such as AMG sport seats that are covered with Tobago Brown nappa leather, black logo-emblazoned floor mats, and of course everything else the standard SL63 AMG has to offer. Only 200 cars will be made and the lucky owners of these cars will also receive IWC's "Grosser Ingenieur" watch.
