Malice is back w/ another life lesson!! This one hit's home! Pay close attention

Death of Chicago Teen, Derrion Albert, caught on Tape & Nas writes an open letter

In attempt to identify more people involved, Fox has released video of a brawl in Chicago last Thursday that left 16 yr old honor student, Derrion Albert, beat to death.

I can't lie this tape is pretty disturbing as I can't help but to think of the stupid things we used to fight over as teens and I'm sure this fight was over something just as stupid! Parents have lost a son and as of now 3 black teens lives will be changed forever as they are charged w/ 1st degree murder for Derrion's death! It's time we take initiative and try to mentor and talk some sense into these youngins as much as possible!! My prayers are with the Albert family and their friends!!

Check out the open letter Nas wrote to the teens of Chicago below!

Dear Young Warriors fighting the wrong wars! Killing each other is definitely played out. Being hurt from the lost of a love one was never cool. Dear Young Warriors fighting the wrong war! I know that feeling , that frustration with life and needing to take it out on someone, any one. But….

We chose the dumbest things to go the hardest for. I remember seeing deaths over 8 ball jackets, fila’s , and name plate chains. Deaths over “he say she say”!!!!! “I’m from This block or I’m from that block”, or “my moms n pops is f*cked up now the whole world gotta pay”!!!

I remember feeling like I was the hardest “n*gga” breathin. And I couldn’t wait to prove it. But let’s think. What r we really proving?? And proving what to who?? Everybody knows Chicago breeds the strongest of the strong but I just feel, me, being ya brother from another state feels your pain as if I grew up with you in ya very own household.

You have the ability and mind power to change they way we are looked at. Look who’s watching us young warriors, look who’s throwin us in jail constantly, look at the ignorance in the world. Look at the racist dogs who love to see us down. Lovin to bury us in the ground or in jail were we continue this worthless war on one another. Young warriors…. We are WASTING more and more time. We gotta get on our jobs and take over the world. Cuz This movie left the theaters years ago, Juice, Menace, boys n the hood , blood n blood out, Belly!

When we see each other why do we see hatred? Why were we born in a storm, born soldiers, WARRIORS….and instead of building each other up we are at war with each other.. May the soul of this young person find peace with the almighty. I’m with you young warriors. You’re me and I’m you. But trust me! you are fighting the wrong war.

Do I to you look like a lame

that don't understand a brawd w/ a mean shoe game?"-Jay Z

I don't know about the rest of the fellas but for me, although I love seeing a woman all dolled up, it so sexy to catch a woman with that mean walk, premium denim, and a pair of dope shoes! So I know I don't post much for the women but check inside to see some of the shoes that would catch my eye on that spring stroll through Georgetown and where you can find out more about them.

I'm moving on up!!

I said a while ago that I wasn't going to follow suit and post about it, but I must say Twitter is the best networking site on the net in my personal opinion. But I'm not here to give you the rundown on Twitter but more so to share with you what Twitter has done for me. I've connected with so many interesting people from all walks of life. One of those people is the homie DP, who runs Fashion With A Side of Life. This is where it gets good!! DP thought my outlook on fashion, well in this case sneakers was interesting enough to feature on his site!! This is my 1st feature and it's prepping you for what's to come in the near future!! It's about to get major. Until then check out the "Fashion Spotlight-Eezy-E of 2Hood4Hollywood".

I got these Lanvins on my radar for the Spring!!

Dark mauve suede high-top trainers with charcoal calf leather heel, toe cap and contrast trim. Dusty pink satin tongue and padded pink satin above the ankle. Semi-opaque pink rubber runs up the front of the shoe with grey laces and metal eyelets and contrast pink stitching. Thick white rubber sole.

These are some seriously stylish trainers by Lanvin.

T.I. ft. Justin Timberlake-Dead and Gone

Check out the visuals for one of my favorite songs off of T.I.'s Paper Trail. I know people have a lot of different opinions on T.I.'s situation and I refuse to speak on it because I don't know what the real story is. You can't believe what the media says. But what I can say is that I love the moves he's making at this point in his career and managed to stay on top of things when a lot of folks thought he was down for the count!! Got to salute him for that!! Paper Trail in stores now!!

Stealing From The Rich and Giving to the Poor

This piece was done by Above in Portugal. They did 250 prints of this pic which sold out almost ASAP and gave 100% of the profits to homeless shelters. I think its dope!

My thoughts on Valentines day

I'm going to keep this short and sweet!! Well my first thought is that it is February 14th. That's about where it stops!! I think that Valentine's Day is the most over rated day of the calender year!! I don't think this because I am lonely or bitter. I think it because when you have that special person in your life, everyday should be a so called "valentines day". How can my romantic dinner today top the one I gave you yesterday or how can our trip to NY for the weekend be more special than the last 12 trips we took!! This day is just another scheme to make the Hallmark family rich!! LMAO I say this to say make everyday a special, romantic one with the one you love!!

a few days away from a woman's favorite day

**I feel like my post last year was so good, I decided to just repost for yall that just getting down with me!! Check it out!!**

Well besides her birthday anyway!!lol But on a real note fellas I got a few tips for you. Think of Valentine's Day as a game like Monopoly. You'll probably spend your cash like it's play money. If you invest money in nice hotels, you'll monopolize her time—and if you impress her, you'll earn a "get out of jail free" card.

But seriously, it's the moves you make on February 14 that will determine if you win free (overnight) parking at her apartment. So don't leave it to "chance." Click Read more for all the tips you need!!

1. Never, never, did I say never, ask her "what do you want for valentines day?" The key is to show her that you know her which means you shouldn't have to ask.

2. Pay attention, she'll throw you a few hints. Look out for comments like, "I really need a ___," "Her necklace is so beautiful," "When's the last time we spent the day together?", or "We've never been to that restaurant!" Unless you're an idiot you should know what that means.

3. You should only be in the red & pink aisle in CVS so that your baby brother can get a gift for his 6th grade girlfriend. Those bears holding the hearts are wack!!!

4. If she bugs you for a massage every night, book her one with a professional. Can't bear someone else's hands all over her? Role play and you be the masseuse. Spend a few $$$ and buy massage oil, set up a table, and rub her back until she tells you to stop. That will probably be at the end of Neveruary but I guarantee it will be a happy ending for you both ;)

5. Valentine's Day is not all about material objects. In fact, the more material it is, the less impressed she'll be. Unless of course you red bottom her toes, give wrist some shimmer, or supercharge her Range and ridiculous rim her. But umm until then stick to lingerie if it has to be material. lol It's a win for both parties.

6. A real posh, expensive restaurant is nice but umm try cooking. light a few candles, share a desert. It will be a lot more meaningful and intimate. And you'll save some money!! You still got 10 days so if you fluke in the kitchen get a cookbook lol

7. Pick up or order a pricier bottle. Life's too short to drink the cheap shit.

8. Don't wait until the last minute to pick out flowers. All you'll get is the end of it all. Actually, FORGET the flowers. They're overpriced this time of year, and you should really only give them when you want to cheer her up or say, "I'm sorry." They're the most last-minute gift you can give.

9. ...Unless you use the flowers more creatively. For some reason, women get wound up seeing roses torn up in little pieces and covering the bed or floating in a warm bubble bath.

10. In the beginning of a serious relationship, get her a baby-potted plant. Attach a note that says, "I hope our relationship grows." If she waters it, she wants to keep you. And if you end up marrying her, it'll be a great memory. Its a pshycological thing.

11. Write her a poem. Even if it sounds like one of Adam Sandler's ballads, nothing says love like, "Your butt looks so good in those jeans—I promise next time, I'll lay off the beans."

12. If it's booked, don't panic. You want to take her on a Valentine's weekend getaway, but all the places you choose aren't available. Don't ditch the idea. Choose another weekend. She won't mind the wait—as long as you tell her what's in store.

13. Don't leave all the nasty chocolates in the box you gave her.

14. Never sign a card with just "Love, Larry." They rarely read the card. They're looking to see if you took the time to write something yourself. If you can't tell her how you feel you better learn how to draw it lol

15. This may be #15 but trust me this may be the most important: Don't go too crazy your first few Valentine's Day's. Remember, every year you'll be expected to top last year's gift. Pace yourself.

Summer 09 Gucci High Tops

As you can see every designer is following the super high top trend along with the multiple straps.  Not to say that they're not still in the game because they'll always be there but with the emergence of all of the high end shoe designers, Gucci is falling down the ladder in my opinion, with the exception of the classics. What do you think??

Congratulations, Mr. President.

Thank you. Thank you.

My fellow citizens:

I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors. I thank President Bush for his service to our nation, as well as the generosity and cooperation he has shown throughout this transition.

Forty-four Americans have now taken the presidential oath. The words have been spoken during rising tides of prosperity and the still waters of peace. Yet, every so often the oath is taken amidst gathering clouds and raging storms. At these moments, America has carried on not simply because of the skill or vision of those in high office, but because We the People have remained faithful to the ideals of our forbearers, and true to our founding documents.

So it has been. So it must be with this generation of Americans.

That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood. Our nation is at war, against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred. Our economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age. Homes have been lost; jobs shed; businesses shuttered. Our health care is too costly; our schools fail too many; and each day brings further evidence that the ways we use energy strengthen our adversaries and threaten our planet.

These are the indicators of crisis, subject to data and statistics. Less measurable but no less profound is a sapping of confidence across our land -- a nagging fear that America's decline is inevitable, that the next generation must lower its sights.

Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this, America -- they will be met.

On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.

On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics.

We remain a young nation, but in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things. The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free, and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness.

In reaffirming the greatness of our nation, we understand that greatness is never a given. It must be earned. Our journey has never been one of short-cuts or settling for less. It has not been the path for the faint-hearted -- for those who prefer leisure over work, or seek only the pleasures of riches and fame. Rather, it has been the risk-takers, the doers, the makers of things -- some celebrated but more often men and women obscure in their labor, who have carried us up the long, rugged path towards prosperity and freedom.

For us, they packed up their few worldly possessions and traveled across oceans in search of a new life.

For us, they toiled in sweatshops and settled the West; endured the lash of the whip and plowed the hard earth.

For us, they fought and died, in places like Concord and Gettysburg; Normandy and Khe Sahn.

Time and again these men and women struggled and sacrificed and worked till their hands were raw so that we might live a better life. They saw America as bigger than the sum of our individual ambitions; greater than all the differences of birth or wealth or faction.

This is the journey we continue today. We remain the most prosperous, powerful nation on Earth. Our workers are no less productive than when this crisis began. Our minds are no less inventive, our goods and services no less needed than they were last week or last month or last year. Our capacity remains undiminished. But our time of standing pat, of protecting narrow interests and putting off unpleasant decisions -- that time has surely passed. Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America.

For everywhere we look, there is work to be done. The state of our economy calls for action, bold and swift, and we will act -- not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth. We will build the roads and bridges, the electric grids and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together. We will restore science to its rightful place, and wield technology's wonders to raise health care's quality and lower its cost. We will harness the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories. And we will transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age. All this we can do. And all this we will do.

Now, there are some who question the scale of our ambitions -- who suggest that our system cannot tolerate too many big plans. Their memories are short. For they have forgotten what this country has already done; what free men and women can achieve when imagination is joined to common purpose, and necessity to courage.

What the cynics fail to understand is that the ground has shifted beneath them -- that the stale political arguments that have consumed us for so long no longer apply. The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works -- whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified. Where the answer is yes, we intend to move forward. Where the answer is no, programs will end. And those of us who manage the public's dollars will be held to account -- to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day -- because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.

Nor is the question before us whether the market is a force for good or ill. Its power to generate wealth and expand freedom is unmatched, but this crisis has reminded us that without a watchful eye, the market can spin out of control -- a nation cannot prosper long when it favors only the prosperous. The success of our economy has always depended not just on the size of our Gross Domestic Product, but on the reach of our prosperity; on the ability to extend opportunity to every willing heart -- not out of charity, but because it is the surest route to our common good.

As for our common defense, we reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals. Our Founding Fathers, faced with perils we can scarcely imagine, drafted a charter to assure the rule of law and the rights of man, a charter expanded by the blood of generations. Those ideals still light the world, and we will not give them up for expedience's sake. And so to all other peoples and governments who are watching today, from the grandest capitals to the small village where my father was born: know that America is a friend of each nation and every man, woman, and child who seeks a future of peace and dignity, and that we are ready to lead once more.

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

We are the keepers of this legacy. Guided by these principles once more, we can meet those new threats that demand even greater effort -- even greater cooperation and understanding between nations. We will begin to responsibly leave Iraq to its people, and forge a hard-earned peace in Afghanistan. With old friends and former foes, we will work tirelessly to lessen the nuclear threat, and roll back the specter of a warming planet. We will not apologize for our way of life, nor will we waver in its defense, and for those who seek to advance their aims by inducing terror and slaughtering innocents, we say to you now that our spirit is stronger and cannot be broken; you cannot outlast us, and we will defeat you.

For we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness. We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus -- and non-believers. We are shaped by every language and culture, drawn from every end of this Earth; and because we have tasted the bitter swill of civil war and segregation, and emerged from that dark chapter stronger and more united, we cannot help but believe that the old hatreds shall someday pass; that the lines of tribe shall soon dissolve; that as the world grows smaller, our common humanity shall reveal itself; and that America must play its role in ushering in a new era of peace.

To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect. To those leaders around the globe who seek to sow conflict, or blame their society's ills on the West -- know that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy. To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist.

To the people of poor nations, we pledge to work alongside you to make your farms flourish and let clean waters flow; to nourish starved bodies and feed hungry minds. And to those nations like ours that enjoy relative plenty, we say we can no longer afford indifference to the suffering outside our borders; nor can we consume the world's resources without regard to effect. For the world has changed, and we must change with it.

As we consider the road that unfolds before us, we remember with humble gratitude those brave Americans who, at this very hour, patrol far-off deserts and distant mountains. They have something to tell us, just as the fallen heroes who lie in Arlington whisper through the ages. We honor them not only because they are guardians of our liberty, but because they embody the spirit of service; a willingness to find meaning in something greater than themselves. And yet, at this moment -- a moment that will define a generation -- it is precisely this spirit that must inhabit us all.

For as much as government can do and must do, it is ultimately the faith and determination of the American people upon which this nation relies. It is the kindness to take in a stranger when the levees break, the selflessness of workers who would rather cut their hours than see a friend lose their job which sees us through our darkest hours. It is the firefighter's courage to storm a stairway filled with smoke, but also a parent's willingness to nurture a child, that finally decides our fate.

Our challenges may be new. The instruments with which we meet them may be new. But those values upon which our success depends -- honest and hard work, courage and fair play, tolerance and curiosity, loyalty and patriotism -- these things are old. These things are true. They have been the quiet force of progress throughout our history. What is demanded then is a return to these truths. What is required of us now is a new era of responsibility -- a recognition, on the part of every American, that we have duties to ourselves, our nation, and the world, duties that we do not grudgingly accept but rather seize gladly, firm in the knowledge that there is nothing so satisfying to the spirit, so defining of our character, than giving our all to a difficult task.

This is the price and the promise of citizenship.

This is the source of our confidence -- the knowledge that God calls on us to shape an uncertain destiny.

This is the meaning of our liberty and our creed -- why men and women and children of every race and every faith can join in celebration across this magnificent mall, and why a man whose father less than sixty years ago might not have been served at a local restaurant can now stand before you to take a most sacred oath.

So let us mark this day with remembrance, of who we are and how far we have traveled. In the year of America's birth, in the coldest of months, a small band of patriots huddled by dying campfires on the shores of an icy river. The capital was abandoned. The enemy was advancing. The snow was stained with blood. At a moment when the outcome of our revolution was most in doubt, the father of our nation ordered these words be read to the people:

"Let it be told to the future world... that in the depth of winter, when nothing but hope and virtue could survive... that the city and the country, alarmed at one common danger, came forth to meet it."

America. In the face of our common dangers, in this winter of our hardship, let us remember these timeless words. With hope and virtue, let us brave once more the icy currents, and endure what storms may come. Let it be said by our children's children that when we were tested we refused to let this journey end, that we did not turn back nor did we falter; and with eyes fixed on the horizon and God's grace upon us, we carried forth that great gift of freedom and delivered it safely to future generations.

Thank you. God bless you. And God bless the United States of America.

BART Police shoot an unarmed boy

It took me a while to post on this because I didn't know what to say. Well to be honest I still don't know what to say except for the fact that I hope they bury that officer under the jail. It's shit like this that fuels my disgust for police or any coward you give authority to for that matter. There is no way possible, that this should happen. There is no need for him to even pull a gun after he is already detained by 3 officers. The shit that's confusing me even more is that the DA is still contemplating wether to press charges!! Are you fucking serious?? Then they say maybe he thought it was a taser. So the fuck what?? He didn't need a taser either!! Justice has to be served here and that officer (Johannes Mehserle) needs to be prosecuted and needs to spend the rest of his life in jail.

My prayers go out to Oscar Grant's(the victim) family. They need everybody's support to make sure that this matter is handled appropiately. I know there is nothing we can do to bring Oscar back but we can't let this officer get away with it. So write letter, make phone calls, just do something to let your voice be heard. Here is a list of contact info for a few people that can be contacted:

BART(Bay Area Rapid Transit)

Alameda County District Attorney

Oakland Office of the Mayor

**sidenote** I know that without Police the world would be a much crazier place but with Police like Johannes Mehserle on Police forces all over America, they make life scarier. A foolish Police Officer is worst than any type of criminal there is. Your life is in their hands and paperwork. There has to be a better system put in place when choosing these officers. We should feel safe. If you are doing wrong, you should be punished, ok we understand that but that punishment should not include shooting a detained unarmed man, or any other acts of violence when there's no need for it.

Reasonable Doubt vs. Ready to Die (Day 2: 1st single)

Okay I told you yesterday in Day 1 of Reasonable Doubt vs. Ready to Die, we were going to break these CD's down track for track to see which album is actually the best. At first I was just going to go in order of the album but I think its only fair to start it off single for single since both albums had 4 singles.

So what's it going to be, the spending illegal money, Ski produced, lead single, Dead Presidents with Nas', The World is Yours, sampled in the hook or is it the from nothing to something, Diddy produced, 1st Single, Juicy.

"Partna I'm still spending money from 88"

Reasonable Doubt or Ready to Die????

or

???

For about the next 2 weeks I want you guys to vote as I post daily, track vs. track from these 2 classic albums.

One of the biggest arguements in hip hop is who's the best rapper to ever do it. Two of the artists that come up in every single debate were very close friends, Jay Z and Biggie. Two artists that's near perfection at their craft. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to see how Biggie's career would have turned out because his life was brought to an early end in 97, almost a year after the 6/25/96 release of Jay Z's debut album, Reasonable Doubt. However Biggie had a chance to put out 2 albums while in the game, Life After Death(A Double Disc) and his 9/13/94 debut album, Ready to Die.

Ok well this post isn't about who's the best rapper ever. Right now we're going to focus on the 2 Classic rap debut albums. Is it Jay Z's, Reasonable Doubt, with production from the likes of DJ Premier, Clark Kent, Knobody(The Hitmen), and Irv Gotti or is it B.I.G.'s, Ready to Die, with production by Puffy and The Hitmen, Easy Mo Bee, DJ Premier, and Pete Rock. Is it the more Mafioso style rap of Jay Z with guest appearances by Memphis Bleek, Jaz, Sauce Money, Foxxy Brown, and B.I.G. himself or the more gritty street hustle rap of B.I.G. with Method Man being his only rap feature. The last time I checked Reasonable Doubt was at 1.4 million sold and Ready to Die was quadruple platinum, which some will argue that B.I.G.'s death plays a huge part in his rise in sales.

With that said Welcome to Day 1 of Reasonable Doubt vs. Ready to Die!! If you had to take only one, which one would you take and why??? Be sure to check back daily for the track vs. track showdown.

**Sidenote: I would have loved to see what the Commission(B.I.G. & Jay Z's group) would have been like!!**

R.I.P. Sean Taylor-1 year later

On this very day last year, 11/27/2007, Sean Taylor of the Washington Redskins life was brought to an untimely end! Not only was Sean one of the hardest hitting men to ever play the game of football but he was also a father, a son, and a soon to be married man. A man that took what some would call a negative past as fuel to build a positive future. He was feared by WR's, QB's, RB's, & TE's on the field and loved by millions off the field!! We can only wonder what greatness he would have brought to the sport, the Redskins, and his family's future but lets take a second to take a look at the impact he had on the field while he was here!! My prayers still go out to his family and friends. If you have anymore clips or memories please leave them in the comment section. Remember, tomorrow is not promised so learn to appreciate the ones you love while they're here because you just never know!!

Plies-Put it On Ya

Plies is back with a new one for the ladies!! He knows how to keep the women on his side!! He's pretty smart when it comes to his marketing. Check out Put It On Ya ft. Chris J. off of Plies 3rd album, his 2nd this year, Da Realist, in stores 12/16.
(sidenote: I can't lie, I like Plies but I could have sworn he said he wasn't wasting anymore money on jewelry. Boy got bout 20 more chains. There's nothing wrong with that but it just shows you how your thought process changes when you get a few more 0's in your account)
